In view of the security arrangements ahead of August 5, Poonch Police has significantly intensified security measures across the district to ensure peace, public safety, and the maintenance of law and order.
Under the supervision of DySP Operations Poonch and SHO Poonch Taniya Gupta, special nakas (checkpoints) have been established at strategic locations throughout the district. Police personnel are conducting thorough checking of vehicles, verifying the identities of commuters, and keeping a close watch on suspicious persons and activities.
The enhanced security deployment aims to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure a safe and secure environment for residents.
Patrolling has also been intensified in sensitive areas, while police teams remain on high alert to respond promptly to any emergency situation.
