Govt. Degree College (GDC) Doongi organised the Viksit Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP) under the aegis of MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, with the objective of engaging and sensitising students towards responsible citizenship, nation-building, and active participation in community-oriented initiatives.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Chanchal Angral, whose encouragement and leadership contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the programme.
The programme proceeded with a quiz competition on Viksit Bharat, focusing on India’s development, progress, and the role of youth in nation-building.
Students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated their awareness and knowledge of various aspects related to the vision of a developed India.
This was followed by the Viksit Yuva Connect Pledge, wherein the students reaffirmed their commitment to contributing positively towards the development and progress of the nation.
An awareness session was subsequently organised to sensitise students about their role in building a responsible, informed, and socially conscious society.
The session also encouraged students to actively participate in community development initiatives and contribute towards the vision of a developed and sustainable India.
The programme concluded with a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, during which students and staff actively participated in cleanliness activities both within the college campus and in the surrounding areas.
The cleanliness drive highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment and encouraged students to adopt cleanliness as an integral part of their civic responsibility.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff members.
The activities provided an engaging platform for students to enhance their awareness of national development while reinforcing the values of civic responsibility, cleanliness, community participation, and nation-building.
