Woman Arrested with 1,700 Banned Drug Tablets in Rajouri, ₹17,570 Cash Recovered.

Rajouri Police on Friday arrested a woman in connection with the alleged possession of a large quantity of banned drug tablets and recovered around 1,700 tablets along with ₹17,570 in cash.
According to police, the action was carried out on September 25, 2026, near the Old Bus Stand in Rajouri as part of the ongoing drive against drug trafficking and the illegal sale of narcotic substances.
The arrested woman has been identified as Arti Sharma daughter of Bhola Ram resident of Agrati, Chingas.
During the operation, police recovered approximately 1,700 banned drug tablets and ₹17,570 in cash from her possession.
The recovered tablets and cash were taken into police custody, and the woman was arrested.
A case has been registered under relevant provisions of law, and further investigation is underway.
Police are trying to ascertain the source of the tablets and identify other persons who may be involved in the alleged drug supply network.
Rajouri Police said that its drive against drug trafficking and the illegal sale of narcotic substances will continue across the district.
