Victory of Good over Evil: Dussehra Celebrated with Fervour in Rajouri-Poonch.

Dussehra symbolising the victory of good over evil, was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch on Tuesday.

Religious processions were taken out in several towns, drawing large numbers of devotees and local residents.

In Rajouri, a procession was taken out from the Sanatan Dharma Sabha and passed through various markets before reaching the Dussehra ground beneath Abdullah Bridge. At the venue, effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran were set ablaze by youths dressed as Lord Ram and Lakshman, marking the traditional conclusion of the celebrations.

Similar processions were organised in Nowshera and Kalakote. The processions passed through the main markets and culminated at designated venues, where effigies of Ravana were set on fire amid religious fervour and celebrations.

In Poonch district, Dussehra was celebrated in Poonch town and Mendhar.

Processions passed through various markets before reaching the Dussehra grounds, where effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran were burnt. A large number of people gathered to witness the traditional Ravana Dahan ceremony.

Elaborate security arrangements were made by the administration to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations. Police personnel and fire service staff were deployed at the markets and Dussehra grounds to maintain law and order and deal with any emergency.

At the main Dussehra function in Rajouri, Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police Naresh Singh, and officers and personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were among those present.

On the occasion of Vijay Dashami, various organisations representing the Hindu community also performed Shastra Puja (worship of traditional weapons). Leaders of several organisations participated in the religious observances.

The celebrations witnessed a large turnout, with devotees and spectators gathering around the venues to participate in the festivities and witness the symbolic victory of good over evil.

बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत

राजौरी-पुंछ जिले में मंगलवार को धूमधाम से विजय दशमी का पर्व मनाया गया। इससे पहले शोभायात्रा निकाली गई, जिसमें श्रद्धालुओं ने बढ़ चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया।

सनातन धर्म सभा से निकाली गई शोभायात्रा विभिन्न बाजारों से होती हुई दशहरा मैदान अब्दुल्ला पुल के नीचे पहुंची। यहां पर राम-लक्ष्मण के वेश में युवाओं ने रावण, मेघनाथ व कुंभकर्ण के पुतलों आग के हवाले कर दिया गया। नौशहरा , कालाकोट में भी शोभायात्रा निकाली गई। शोभायात्रा विभिन्न बाजारों से होती हुई कार्यक्रम स्थल पर पहुंची यहां पर राम-लक्ष्मण के वेष में युवाओं ने रावण के पुतले को आगे के हवाले कर दिया। वहीं पुंछ जिले के मेंढर व पुंछ में भी शोभायात्रा निकाली गई जो विभिन्न बाजारों से होकर दशहरा मैदान में पहुंची। यहां पर रावण, मेघनाद व कुंभकर्ण के पुतलों को आगे हवाले कर दिया गया। यहां पर भी शोभायात्रा में काफी भीड़ उमड़ी थी। रावण दहन देखने के लिए काफी भारी संख्या में लोग मौजूद थे। प्रशासन द्वारा भी सुरक्षा के कड़े प्रबंध किए गए थे। बाजारों के साथ साथ दशहरा मैदान में भी पुलिस के जवानों के साथ दमकल के कर्मचारी तैनात थे। वहीं राजौरी दशहरा मैदान में कार्यक्रम में पहुंच डीसी राजौरी डा.

देवांश यादव और एसएसपी राजौरी नरेश सिंह, सीआरपीएफ के अधिकारी व जवान भी मौजूद रहे।

वहीं विजय दशमी के उपलक्ष्य पर हिन्दू समाज के विभिन्न संगठनों द्वारों शास्त्र पूजा भी की गई। इस मौके पर विभिन्न संगठनों के नेता भी मौजूद थे। प्रशासन द्वार सुरक्षा के पुख्ता प्रबंध किये गए थे। कार्यक्रम स्थल के चारों और दर्शकों की काफी भीड़ मौजूद थी।
